The top of the skin, the stratum corneum, is very dense on a molecular level and skin care ingredients often struggle to penetrate this flexible protective barrier. We gently soften this top layer with papain enzyme which degrades the protein bonds that hold these dead skin cells together. With their softening, we are then able to scrape them away with our diamond tip microdermabrasion head and suction. Removing this top layer of skin allows our healing, nurturing and therapeutic ingredients to penetrate the skin in a more substantial way. This treatment is great for dark spots, fine lines, hydration boosting and the removal of dull built-up skin.
